Importing CVs

Email Import:

Email Import of email/CV's can be done in two ways:

1. Import through Arithon:

  • Click on email tab on Arithon
  • Click on the email/emails you would like to import.
  • Drag this from your inbox to your 'ArithonImport' folder.
  • Mark these emails as unread (right-click to do this) - emails must be marked as unread in order for this to be picked up by Arithon.
  • Run Arithon Email Import (just at the top of your screen)
  • This will then:
    • Import that candidate and create a new record for them or
    • Update existing records

2. Import through your email client (outlook/gmail etc)

  • Click on your email client
  • Click on the email/emails you would like to import.
  • Drag this from your inbox to your 'ArithonImport' folder.
  • Mark these emails as unread (right-click to do this) - emails must be marked as unread in order for this to be picked up by Arithon.
  • Click on the import tab on Arithon
  • Click 'Run new Email Import' (option at the bottom of the screen) or click to run Arithon Email Import from your Arithon Integration.
  • This will then:
    • Import that candidate and create a new record for them or
    • Update existing records

    Manual Import:

To manually import CV's that are stored locally on your PC/laptop:

    • Click on Import Tab
    • Click browse the file / files you would like to import
    • Click Upload
    • This will either create a new candidate record if this is a new CV, or attach the attachment to the existing record.

    Note:

Manual Import: If a file has a foreign character or an apostrophe in the filename, this does not always get recognised by Arithon and you may need to manually change this character in the file name in order for the attachment to go into Arithon successfully -

This does not apply to the email import, importing through the email tab does not look at the file name.

Please note this does not affect the information extracted from the CV by the CV parser.
